denitrater

I am usiing a Two Little fishes Phosban reactor to house my nitrate sponge and also
phosforous sponge

sponge meaning granular material.

You can fill it, let it do its work and change it out or refill it.

are you looking for a reactor that you can use nitrate reducing media or a denitrifier?

I am using a custom build denitrifier. Works really well, but it drops alk down a lot.

a denitrator can be a very usefull piece of equipment. i personally think its the best investment i have made on my system, allows my corals to thrive, while i enjoy breaking the fish metrics rule. use with caution, and yes you will have to compensate for lower alkalinity, not too much. you can use the reactor listed, just go slow with the effluent.

I am using a aqupure denitrator.... It took awhile to kick in but seems to be controlling my nitrates in my 120... I don't do weekly water changes anymore, and have a moderate fish load.
