Derasa Clam Size?

How quickly do they grow? Looking to get one that is about 3" now. We are going to upgrade to a bigger tank middle of next year.

They can get quite big in a short time, probably one of the fastest growing clams. I have one that is 8"now, it is now in a halt stage, but I've heard stories of growth spurs.

Mine has doubled in size in about six months. Very fast grower under right conditions.

Mine grew from 1.5" to 6" in a little less than a year.

The record holder was 24", but the odds of having one that gets that big is about the same as the odds of you having a kid that gets as big a Shaq... Even 16" should be considered a very big derasa.
