derasa quarantine procedures?

Hey guys I'm getting my new derasa from liveaquaria.com today. any suggestions about how I should quarantine this guy? I only have 18w of power compact in my QT. He's gonna be the only clam so other than just a brief inspection for pyramid snails I don't think it'll have to be there for too many days.

hey it's almost been a week already and now my clam is not looking so hot. maybe if someone gave me pointers on how they acclimated and QT-ing their clams I wouldn't be in this spot! surely someone has something!

Im going to start up my hosiptal/Qtank soon, just waiting on the meds and the 250 halide pendant....

As far as tips, make sure you have good water quality in the Qtank..and that the calcium and alkalinity are on target for clam. Once I place my dozen or so clams in the 20 gallon Im sure Ill have to dose fairly regularly to keep those levels in check...
