Derasa shrinking

I have had a derasa for about a month now nad he has been a great addition to the tank. Yesterday he started shrinking down into his shell and he's not looking good at all. Does anyone know what I can do to help him out?

A pic would help. Test all water params (especially alk, cal, and mag) and make sure that nothing is picking at it. Its probably a good time to change or add carbon too.

Maybe you have pyramid snails...take a look under your clam...
