Hi Guys,

I have seen several people use a design program for fishrooms and sumps and stuff. I am looking for a program to help me design our kitchen remodel. I think I saw Tinytool use it once. I also saw one before with people in it and everything.

Let me know if you have seen one of these free programs or know where I can get one.

Thanks!

Bob

I use a free program called google sketchup. just "google" it. It has an easy learning curve and a good tutorial. Good luck man. for a second I thought you were planning a tank agian ;)

Buy a home design program at any officestore. We designed our whole house from scratch with one. They also have a cheap program @ home depot where you take a picture, download it. And then you can change colors & options & see what it will look like.

One of the best is Chief Architect but it runs about $2,200.

If you do a little searching, you can find a version "for evaluation purposes" fairly easily.

my parents designed their colorado cabin floor plans in excell, using borders and an even grid of cells. i was quite impressed with how well it worked auctually.. [i was very skeptical before seeing thier charts]

I like the better home and gardens software, it's easy to use and has some pretty slick 3d walkthroughs....

I am looking into this currently also. I used the demo version of smart draw. It worked pretty slick. No 3D walk through, but very easy to use.
