DFS McCulloch's Clownfish

I'm not surprised, actually would've expected them to cost less being captive bred here, but that's only a matte of time if these actually sell. I don't recall ORA asking very much for Latz during their limited offering, said to be axed for lack of interest from the general public.
Nevertheless, i don't plan on keeping any of these sub-tropical species at any cost. Reason being, i'm not adding a chiller to my system which reaches into the eighties during summer with winter time lows matching summertime highs of the waters these animals are endemic to.

Despite what their normal temperature was in nature, sub-tropic temperature is not required for keeping these clownfish.

Yes vaporize i realize this however i question it in the long term.
Having been a fan of Richard Pyle's rare and unusual marine column including conversing with him on the subject, i somewhere along the line was taught Chaetodon tinkeri's lifespan is shortened in warmer tropical reef temp's due to their cool Hawaiian Isl deep water habitat. A belief i've heard from others too. I'd think there's a good chance the same would hold true for other poikilothermic species evolved to a specific temperature range.
Perhaps this aspect can be bred out after xxxx generation. Not a chance i'm willing to take at this stage of the game knowing my reef tank averages 84ºF with 86º highs during summer months. And no, i haven't had resultant bleaching or other troubles.
