DFS Rainbow Rosaria

That photo looks a lot like what happens when I try to photograph corals in my tank with my Canon point-and-shoot. It only picks up the blue colors because my T5 setup is 20K+ and I hate it. lol

How does it look in-person? I really see some great potential in this piece, so please keep me/us posted over time as it starts to really color up and grow for you.

You need to see if the camera has a white-balance "measuring" (mine calls it "pre-set" which, oddly, is exactly the opposite of what it is).

On my tank I have the same issue, except it's cause by blue LED overkill (even under a 250 halide). The problem is solved by pointing the camera at the tank, "measureing" the white balance with whatever your camera calls that feature, and then taking pics. The blues are WAY toned down that way.

Dmorel what color is the rosaria in your tank. When i first got mine 6 months ago it was mostly purple with pink and a little hint of blue. Then i had bryopsis and everything in tank started turing brown or green.

Frag arrived this morning.
Here's a quick point and shoot shot and the image from DFS for comparison...

You have an update on how yours has colored up?

I got one a couple weeks ago, and has done not much but get lighter in color after being acclimated in the sand for a week.

I don't think this guys a soli. Rosaria? possibly I'm no pro at Id's but this does not look like any soli i've seen. reminds me of the raspberry lemonade nasuta

It's not colored up for me, I don't think it likes super high light actually.
I've moved it twice so far and still don't have the sweet spot for it.

Doing a bunch of work to the tank on Monday and it will get another new home, so we'll see how it does in another spot.

I had the Tyree 'version' of this coral back in the day. One of my favorites. As I recall, it was a table-er and once established, did not appreciate being moved at all.

If they call this a rosaria, it must be mislabeled. It does not look like a rosaria.

The more I look at my coral, the more I can see its body getting lighter, but the base and tips getting more and more flourescent. So it looks like its coloring up, by lightening up the areas that browned out during shipping...

It kinda looks like its on its way to looking like the pic above! :)
