Had a few minutes so I thought I would start a new thread for my tank. I'll have to add more later, but here's the basics:
  • 2 connected custom displays with custom cabinet
  • Top display is SPS focused with a false rock wall
  • Bottom display is a mixed tank
  • Top tank lit by PAR38 LED bulb; Bottom tank is 2 nova extreme 20" T5 units
  • System's theme is mutualisms - which is still evolving.

FSS (Full system shot)

Pics and additional details later :)

Thanks! A bit more info:

Tank turned 1 year old this month
Top tank is ~9g and bottom tank is ~17g
Fish: sixline, 2 ORA tiger gobies, 2 eviota nigriventris

Some pics :)

No good shots of the back but the plumbing is very simple. Durso style overflow from the back of the top tank down into the bottom tank and an MJ1200 return up through a BRS carbon reactor with filter floss and carbon. Nothing fancy.

Yeah, they're cool. About an inch long each - tiny little gobies. I feed rod's food and they love it.

A Polyp Study:

And a fish in flight (handheld with macro rings and manual focus - i'm pretty proud of this one):

canon 30D, 28-135 lens with some cheapo macro rings from ebay.

nice! have the 40d. i need to try out those macro rings. i've been struggling to get good shots with my fixed 50 and the standard lens. do NOT want to spend 500+ on a nice macro lens.

cool tank.

i have the 50 prime - it doesn't work as well with the macro rings. the 28-135 is a decent all purpose lens imo. i'm getting the sigma 150 macro as soon as i can.

Hey DHaut what website did you get you led bulbs? and how did you wire them? and can they supplement any kind of coral/clam?
