DHL nightmare!

they company we used at the last place i worked for first used fedex.....it was great. then they tried to save a buck and go with DHL. We had customer's complaining left and right. It was aweful, they seemed to have no clue........We had to switch back to fedex cause were losing multi-million dollar contracts.
 
If the order arrives tomorrow (Sat.), I can have people meet me at DHL in Tempe to pick up their orders. The order is already pre-sorted by orderee (is that a word?), so it should be easy to divy up. They are open from 8-1pm. I have no clue what time we would get the order. They will be calling me as soon as they get it. Then I will post that the order is here. Then, call those who I have phone numbers for.

well dang...i'm leaving town tomorrow morning and wont be back till tuesday. Would anyone (preferably closer to my house...stapley and the 60) be able to pick up my order and hold it for me till at least tuesday?
 
I agree that all carriers mess up from time to time. One thing that was posted makes good sense..........DON'T SHIP around holidays.

I didn't place in this order but FraggleReef has definitely scored some points for their efforts in my opinion.

Sirdudeguy, I can also pick them up for you. I'm taking down the overflow today so I can drop it by next week along with your corals.
 
I wont ship with DHL ever again either. Order a poster from fathead.com to be shipped from Tenn. Everything was fine tracking untill the package arrived in El Paso. Then it just seemed to disappear. I had paid the two day premium shipping. 4 days later when no package fathead agreed that the package was lost and reshipped. Two days later DHL carrier shows at my door with the orginal package. I explaned that the item was being reshipped and refused to take the order. That is what both fathead and DHL rep told me to do. Carrier is now all ****ed off at me telling me that I cant refuse the order since it was delivered to my door. Carrier even tried to get me to pay extra to have the order returned.
Well no way did I take it.. nor pay anymore.
Shipping with UPS or Fedex have had absolutely no problems and most shipments have beaten there estimated arival times.
 
Just spoke to DHL, main office.

Local facility is in the process of receiving packages, and will call me within a couple hours. They will have to search through all incoming freight to find our package. I don't even know if it has arrived, or if they will take the time to find it beacuse they are only open from 8am to 1pm.

Jenn_jeffrey will likely be picking up the order, if it becomes available after 10:30am. I have a state test today that I absolutley cannot miss.
 
Still no word.

Please let me know if you will be picking up at DHL. Jennifer will not be able to wait, as she has a baby with her. She will call you when she leaves for DHL. If you say that you will be picking up at DHL and don't come she will bring the packages first to my house and then likely to her house, which is fairly close by (Idaho Rd. and Southern?).

I will leave Jennifer a list of everyone's numbers.
