i will today sam... breakfast/lunch first...brb

TBH, I don't bother racing 350Z's, at least stock ones...now if they are turbo'd, juiced, or otherwise modded to at least 450-500 hp, then I'd be interested. They do have a weight advantage on me afterall.

If you can run sub 11.5 second 1/4 mile times on DOT tires, then you've got a shot.

p.s. I'm sure your car is heavily modded. Just so you know, my
car's not stock either. ;)

All in good fun salte. Maybe one day we should hook up and go to LACR? I haven't been there in ages. Talk is cheap, proof is on the track. It would be fun and we could stuff Sam in the trunk! j/k Sam!

I attached a link to LACR's proposed '07 schedule (look towards the bottom). Looks like they've got a T&T on Feb 3rd which we could shoot for. Doesn't look like they've got anything the rest of this year unfortunately.
Maybe we could get some of the other So Cal reefers who are in to cars to attend. That would be a blast!

Can't see the pics Salte?

Sounds nice though. Why are you bothering toying with 350Z's?
I get all kinds of z cars, pony cars, S2000's etc etc trying to race me on the streets and I just laugh and ignore them.

We should definitely do LACR in Feb. We could try to get some people together from RC and make a day of it. Sounds fun.

thx for the comp, but honestly i think that its just OK at best... im very critical and it kinna takes alot to impress me, especially with my own stuff, sadly im rarely ever happy with the quaulity =/

if i could change anything... i would have dropped that motor in a 92-95 hatch...rims...lower a bit... lip kit super clean paint job, and make it look Xtreamly STOCK! im kinna tired of police attention... i would like it better if ppl didnt always think that i am TRYING to look fast... one day, i just want to be a normal boy [insert small wooden child] :(

Yeah, I hear ya. Back in the day when I first started getting into cars in high school and street racing, mid-late '80's, we used to mod and race pony cars, ie. IROC and Z-28 camaros, 5.0 mustangs had just come out and were all the rage, and old big block muscle cars like Nova's and el caminos, etc. Those cars could run in the 10 second range. We got my buddies tubbed nova under 10 seconds. But, the tradeoff was reliability, and I swear those things spent more time in our garages on jack stands than on the road. But they sure were fun!

Nowadays, as I am older and have more responsibilities, combined with the fact that I have a family, use my car as a daily driver and have a long commute to and from work, I need my car to be dependable and comfortable. That's why lately I like european cars. My last car was an BMW M5, but the 6 spd manual was killing me on my commute so I went with a benz with an automatic. I knew I wanted an amg of course. It's nice to just get in, turn the key, put it in drive and go. I like the fact that it is completely stock looking and isn't a normal target for cops.
I drive pretty fast, but I have only gotten pulled over once in the benz, and he let me go with a warning.

With Renntech and Kleeman and the other big benz/amg aftermarket tuning companies, their mods are pretty bullet proof and well tested. Most of their customers won't stand for intermittent failure. The mods are incredibly expensive though and you pay for the R&D, and the fact that it is for a benz of course. I am sticking with the stock drivetrain, motor internals, supercharger, tranny, etc and just doing add-ons to get more power, so comparing that to your complete driveline/engine swap and turbo it's no comparison and I do imagine that you'd have a fair amount of time in the shop.

My buddy has an Accord with a supercharged V6 (not sure what type of motor) and all kinds of crazy work done to it and he has issues with reliability. It is surprisingly fast for a fwd car though!

salt e: Looks like a great set up but instead of cheap ADR rims, why not go with something performance related like Volk Racing, Works, Weds, or similar company that makes light weight wheels? ADRs are known for their knock off copies with the unforgiving weight as well.

Also I was looking at your engine bay and it seems you're using rubber couplings(ace hardware) for your intercooler piping? Surprising the Blitz bov isn't giving you any issues.

----

Other than that I had a 90 240sx Fastback with an s13 black top sr20det with basic bolt ons that does 13.5s @ 100 mph at Fontana with slicks and 14.2s with street tires. Not too shabby

Owned it for almost two yrs before it was stolen early this year and still haven't been recovered. Damn the drift wannabes...:mad2:
