I know peristaltic pumps seem to be the go to for dosing but I was wondering if anyone had experimented with diaphragm pumps? They tend to have a significantly larger ml/min flow rate than peristaltic pumps which makes them more likely to be suited to water circulation or potentially larger dosing. They're also self priming.
I was looking at a food safe model for possibly pumping mysis shrimp into my return line for automated feedings. I'm just not sure if the diaphragm pump would masticate the shrimp or get clogged.
