Can't remember off the top of my head. 5 stage dual DI

Was at 5 but just changed. Certainly not that bad

Blue Hippo
Foxface Lo
Longnose Hawkfish
2 Clowns
Purple Firefish

Huge cleanup crew

Lights are 2-250w MH on for 6 hours and 4-110w VHO's (8 hours)

I feed like crazy 'frozen meat and flake" sometime's more sometimes not at all, I don't do many water changes, use a little carbon when ever I feel like it, I use a phosban reactor when it would stay on the pump, I have a GEO 6-18 calc reactor on all times set at 6.5, I use 3-400wmh 2-250wmh 2-140w vho for 8-12hrs, I have 2-2600 tunze on a controller, one tiger shark main pump, I have to many fish, I over heat my tank about every day, I skim heavy, my TDS is 1-2, no nitrates, very little ammonia, alk perfect, high calc, no copper, all other readings are perfect, my salinity is up and down, my fish poo bigger than me. I do check the tank once or twice a day for temp and water levels. My fish are happy, they eat out of my hand. My corals are colored and growing fast. What am I doing right. my tank should be crashing every day.

I'm hoping it's just NTS but's just VERY frustrating.

Tank is in that 5-6 month range

This is it Reggae. NTS is different in every tank. Give it time and continue doing what you are. I know it is VERY frustrating but then again what isn't in this hobby at times. BTW FWIIW and from what I've researched through reading, there is no true Phosphate Test out there. Most can't test for all strains of Phosphate therefor misleading you to think you've defeated it. Just keep up on what your doing and it will clear up.

Are these the same as dynaflagilates (dyno's)? Or the brown boogers of the reef?

Nope.

Here's a couple pics but it's all over the place

How old are your bulbs?

Also, have you every thought of running Prodibio? They have a 2 part bacteria strain that you dose every 2 weeks, similiar to zeo products, just not as difficult to use. I had some hitchhiker briopsis enter my tank that started to flourish, then started using this product and after about 2 months of use my tank has change drastically. I also run this in conjunction w/granular ferric oxide I picked up from 2part solutions. Good luck!

a mix of NTS and your TDS being above 0. I run into problems when my TDS is greater than 0.

I'd fix the RO/DI and then do a few water changes, if it continues to be there in a week then I'd go with chemi-clean. You don't have it that bad luckily.

Just a thought, but I had major diatom problems when I used TmPRo or regular TM salt. Both tested for high silicate levels (my straight RO/DI levels were undetectable).

Dude, Calm down take a chill pill my man. @ 5-6 months you are still in NTS. My 225g has been up since April of this year and I'm still going through some fazes of NTS. You can't throw up a new tank in this hobby and expect it to look "perfect" in a few weeks. It takes time and you are pretty much doing all the right things from what I've read. Just sit back have a beer, keep doing what your doing and enjoy the day when it does end up "perfect". Nothing come's easy, you have to work hard for the best things in life, But the rewards for the work is outstanding in the end.

BTW, FWIIS I used DT's in the past and then quite using it for more than one reason and noticed a few of the issues I was battling went away rather rapidly. I don't buy it anymore and wouldn't suggested it to another reefer (other than Greg or Jack :) )
