I have an argonite bottom and over the last couple weeks when the MH's are on it looks like I have Diatoms all over the bottom. When the MH's go off and the actinics stay on the brownish color goes away almost immediately. I did add 3 very small sps frags about three weeks ago. I did a 10 gallon WC suctioning/stired up the bottom very well on Sunday and by Monday afternoon it was back. Water parameters are good. Temp is now fluctuating between 79-83 with the hotter days. I have also noticed PE is only good after the lights are out on all corals. Bulbs are 4 months old. My tank has been up and running for years so I find it hard to believe my tank is cycling again?? Anyone have any ideas without a pic.
