did i accidentily buy a female?

I had one female clown true perc in my tank and when i went to my lfs i saw 2 solomon island percs and well i picked the smaller of the two and it looked less dominant and so i thought it was a male and currently my clowns are fighting and they are nipping at each others mouths..im worried if i bought a female...

i forgot to mention that the "male" was slightly bigger

Let them duc it out. they will figure it out. I only separate if the tail fine gets down to a nub, then separate and feed a bunch of Rod's Food and the fin grows back quickly, but some fighting is normal so don't sweat it.
