Did I Doom My Blue Linckia?

OK, had been wanting a blue linckia for a while, so I read A LITTLE about them, but obviously not all that I should have. So, when I got it home, I did the "standard" 20 minute acclimation, add some tank water, let stand about 10-15 more minutes, then set it free in the tank. It cruised on over to a nice little rock, out of any direct light, and has been hanging there since yesterday afternoon. So, did I doom the star already, or will it eventually get over the shock and perk up in several days/a week?

he might not be doomed. I did the same with my blue linckea, and like you did not read as much as I should have. However, my linckea stayed under a rock for about week. He then came out and I have had him for about 2 years. He moved all over the tank after that. Just make sure your tank is big enough or you are planning to do a bigger tank, my linckea is dying now because I did not realize this.

Oh, i see now you have a 120 gallon, much better than my 29

I dripped mine in for 45 minutes then dropped it in the tank. No worries.
