Last Thursday I bought a Bubble Tip for $30. It moved on Sunday about a foot to where it is now. Bought a 1.5 " maroon Monday and did a water top off and the BTA shriveled. looked at it this morning and it was fine,tentacles extended, and then an hour later my 3" 5 year old Maroon clown finally noticed it and was in it all snuggly and stuff. Then about a half hour later the new clown was in the nem too. Now they are both snuggling and sharing it....maybe in a few days i'll see eggs...lol

E. Quadricolors are a natural host for maroon clowns.

I know that I meant the two pairing up so fast! The smaller one was only in the tank for less than 24 hours

Yeah, while I never had issues pairing maroons, they can be difficult to pair. Would still keep an eye on them, a female maroon can be a fickle creature.

I think I have a mild mannered maroon anyway, it used to let a skunk clown share an anemone with it and it wasn't as big as the one in my tank now! The one in my tank is about 5" across..not bad for $30. I had to laugh tho' the guy getting it out of the tank at the store where i bought got thumped a couple times pretty bad by a large Tomato Clown

i had a pair of snocasso's for a little over a year and one night the female up and killed the male i guess thats a reef divorce.........

I've had maroons together for months and then the female decides to kill male for no reason

My big maroon keeps feeding the nem with flakes everytime i feed them. he grabs a couple of big flakes and gives them to the BTA... funny to watch

You'll want to feed that bubble tip a couple of times a week. It's looking bleached. Thawed mysis would be best.

I've been feeding it shrimp and it takes them directly to its mouth...It's a good greenish/brown color actually not bleached at all( that's from the flash on the camera). I've fed it about 6 times in a week and 2 days, besdies what the clown feeds it
