Did I hurt our Zoa's?!

Warped
I recently had a small, lonely little aptasia that I found right in the middle of my new zoa frag. I picked up some Joe's Juice to try and rid the frag of the aptasia. I had never used Joe's Juice before, and it came out of the little syringe like thing quicker then I anticipated. I ended up getting some in and around a few of my zoa's. Since applying the Joe's, my zoa's in that area haven't opened (roughly 5 polyps). I'm just wondering if I hurt my zoa's, or will they bounce back after a few more days?

Thanks,

they could be dead. Normally when I get joes juice on the my zoas it usually killed them. Some did bounce back. You should look into aiptaisia x. 90% of the time it does not hurt anything in my tank, even when aiptaisia is in a patch of zoas.

I have to agree with the others on this, joes juice is ultimatly kalkwasser which if left on the zoas, will burn through them. In the past I have done the same thing but I usually just syphon it off with no ill effects.

DAMN! :mad2: I guess it's my fault. I was ill-advised by the LFS (and numerous posts online) that Joe's Juice wouldn't harm anything in the tank, except the Aiptasia. I do know that I applied too much, but I was under the impression it was harmless to my zoa's.

Chalk this one up as a lesson learned.

Thanks guys,
