Did I kill my LTA?

I had to remove all of my fish from my reef tank, and in order to catch them had to remove the live rock & coral. I may have torn the bottom of my LTA (14"). I didn't pull on it, but the bottom of the anemone is all opened up. If it's torn,will it die?

Does the bottom ever open?

if your parems are good there is a good chance it will heal.

My water is excellent. I have two LTA's that host my clown fish. The clowns have eggs every couple of weeks so I'll be really bummed if I killed their home...

I would keep a very close eye on it. LTAs (( IME )) seem to be very sensitive to any damage to their foot.

I fed it and it ate right away. We'll see what happens...

dose some iodine to help in his foot healing

Never dose anything you don't have a test kit for. Iodine is replenished every time you do a water change anyways.

The anemone is actually looking good. It's fully attached to the rocks and open up.
