Did I mess up with powerheads?

I got 2 Koralia 1150's in a 40 breeder. After doing just a tad more research this is a whole lotta flow for a small tank. Did I mess up? I want to do softie & LPS to begin and then do acropora which need higher flow. I'm stressing! Help!

That's 55 to 60 turns per hour. Probably a bit over the top for a softie tank but not impossible. Just be careful where you point them. Or, since the 40 breeder isn't that big, just run one and get a second pump that's smaller. I'd suggest a DC wavemaker that has speed control.

Get a couple of MP10's and you can control the flow & speed

No I wouldn't worry about it - it'll be fine. Actually good for the tank most likely. Just be careful where they are pointed like the post above.

Worse case scenario you can never have too many spare wave makers for things like saltwater mixing, etc.
