You should never drill a tempered tank.....who knew, We figure I've drilled over 40 tanks. My first blowout 46-1. I drilled another 55 right after this.

You have to check out the tank. I have coral and an Angler. He is very cool looking and is a great eater.

What do you see with the glasses?

Tank drilling is fairly easy. You do need a diamond bit hole saw. A guy on ebay sells them for about $6 each.

You can search for my 110gallon tank build. I post several photos of the process.
 
They must be polorized glasses.

If you look at the tank at an angle in sunlight you will see striations on the glass pane, this means it is tempered. If there are no striations it is not tempered. Much easier to to see them once you've know what to look for.
