1) About 20 miles from the Northridge quake and 5 miles from the Whittier Narrows quake.

2) Lost about 10 gals of water during the NR quake and about 20 gals during the WN quake, the tank moved about 2-3 inches druing the WN quake (70 gal tank)

3) No changes made.

4) They can.

5) what ever floats your boat. I doubt a quake will have effect of hard PVC...I use both on my system.

so nothing broke? did you have to completely empty your tank to move it bacK?

Carl

1) Nothing that has to do with the tank.

2) Yup, had to drain most of the water.

It's a less known fact that the Epicenter of the quake was in Reseda and not Northridge... at the end of Elkwood St. I live w/ my parents at the time in Saticoy - Elkwood is walking distance from our house so I can pretty much say that I was in THE epicenter when it happened.

I had a 30 gal freshwater mollies/guppies at the time.. other than water spills on the floor, nothing else got damaged. The tank used to sit on top of an old furniture. If I had the setup I have today, it would've been a different story.
