Once of my dogs was being incognito this morning so went to look for him.
He was downstairs chewing on my female snowflake clown.

I have screen on top but theres like a 1 inch spot in the back where the overflows go and such.

Just didnt know that clownfish were jumpers like that. :eek1:

I've had a few clowns jump. That sucks but i have a story that might make you feel better. angler bought a queen angel and was acclimating it in a bucked and my dog dumped the bucket and grabbed the fish and took off with it and Kevin had to chase the dog down to get his fish back...

Although it doesnt make me feel better, its does make me laugh a bit. :mixed:

I'm always amazed that if there's the tiniest opening, a fish will find it. I had a wrasse that actually lifted my screen top enough to wiggle his way to the floor. After that, I had to put a paper weight on the cover. There are very few fish that won't jump and quite a number of them that jump for the fun of it. Think about it; when a fish jumps in the ocean, he stands a pretty darn good chance of landing in water and not carpet!

Have a buddy whose fire fish managed to make it through egg crate.....

Makes one wonder if they do this by mistake or are they blatantly committing suicide? Perhaps the pulsing sound of even the quietest Vortech can send a fish over the edge at some point....

I can relate as when I had the loud genx rattling around echoing inside my wood stand i kind of felt the same way.

I was cleaning an MP40 yesterday and trying to get it back into it's "sweet spot"...well I put my ear against the tank to get it as best I could...got it quiet from outside the tank, but when it's in short pulse mode of nutient transport....it's not really that quiet if you were inside the tank.
Got me wondering what that constant sound must be like for the inhabitants of that tank....I pictured a post on RC titled "Research showing the physiological effects of Voetechs on fish" :lmao:

Yeh its loud inside a tank but so is the ocean with all the waves and what not. Sometimes I wonder if thats why my clown is so angry all the time.
