difference 9410 and 9420

I have two 9420 pumps, what is the difference bet. the 9420 and the 9410 skimmer pumps?

Are they the same pumps with different bits?

9410.04 runs just under 240 gph

9420.04 runs just over 340 gph

outside looks the same but the internals are different and the impeller is different.

So technically I can put a 9410 impeller in one of my spare 9420 pumps and then have a 9410 pump, do they have the same size output size tubing my 9420 is 3/4''?

Yes, a 9410 and 9420 pump differ in the volute (air intake is slightly different, the 9410 is restricted to take in less air), the motor coil and impeller. You could use the 9410 volute and impeller in a 9410 pump and it would work, it would run just a little hotter and use a couple more watts. You could not do the opposite without possibly damaging the motor.
