difference between 9005 and 9010

just wondering what the difference between the two are besides the price...

what are the exact measurments of the foot print????

The 9005 is really designed for in tank use, the cup is short to fit under a canopy and it has a lower output pump. The 9010 has everything for in sump or in tank use included and it has a taller cup and higher output pump. When used in sump you will want a 5 * 7 area for the skimmer, minimum.

so i cant put the 9005 in my sump?

You can if you either-

Run a constant 10" water level or
buy accessory kit 9005.14, which comes with the 9010 and makes it a bit foolish to buy the 9005 since the cumulative cost is almost the same, you save maybe $20 and get a smaller pump and cup.
