Difference Between Mysid and Mysis

I have been reading how saltwater tanks have mysis shrimp and some have mysid shrimp. I just wanted to clear up and ask isn't mysid saltwater and mysis freshwater. Thank you!

side note - how can I introduce the shrimp to my tank and get it to populate.

I've always thought that the Mysid shrimp we see in our tanks is a creature of the salt. The frozen Mysis you buy at the LFS is a freshwater variety.
I'm probably way off, but they both fatten up my fish.

mysid is an order. mysis is a genus in that order.

For comparison:

mysid is to primate as mysis is to H<b></b>omo (as in H<b></b>omo sapiens)
