Just wanted some advice about these two in my tank. Are the different, or the same? The green seems to have more of a stalk, where the purple doesn't. Whats the diff? The green is by far one of my favorite pics I've taken in my tank.

Normally when the stalks are long it is because they are stretching for more light. But in your second pic of the green skirt ones they look much happier.

I would tell you not to move either of them as they look very happy in your pics.

Here is an ID if you want an easier way to refer to the in the future.

I don't believe there is a name for them yet. Pink with a white mouth is usually what people refer to them as.

Cool thanks. The first pic is just a week ago, and I guess they were just having a bad day, cause they generally stay open like the second pic all day. The purple is fairly new, but the green I've had for 6 months or more, and they are growing like crazy. I'm gonna put some smaller rocks around that rock to try to get them to spread onto them, to give away or sell.

Thanks for the post though

As stated the first are dragon eye zoanthids, and the other one is pink protopalythoa(now grouped with palythoa). So they are different species, the paly's are usually bigger than 1/2'' and the zoos are usually less than 1/2'' in size. Palys and zoos also have different skirts and mouths are seen in the picture and the palys usually grow much slower than zoos.
