differences with 30g and 40breeder

Does anyone have a 30g standard 36"x12" or 40g breeder 36"x18" reef tank open top? I am wondering how much evaporation happens weekly and what I should plan to top off for each size.

My 40 breeders evaporate about 1/2 gallon per day. More in the winter when the heater is blowing.

My 52 wedge evapped 1 gallon a day. Depends on local humidity, and top exposure, and air circulation, etc., ie, highly variable by tank. My deep 105 evaps about the same.

also for my situation the 30 standard seems to be best. But does petco or petsmart not sell these standard aquariums anymore? Its not on their website, but I swear it was like a month ago
