So everyone saw when I posted this thread about coral bleaching.

I was listening to this weeks podcast at talkingreef and they talk in depth about different types of zooxantellae where one type will leave a coral and sometimes a more heat tolerant type will come in. Just thought everyone might want to check it out. episode 41

Yes, this has been theorized and discussed in many articles and threads. If the theory that a coral can ditch a current zooxanthallae clade for another more appropriate one, then we have little (okay, we need to worry alot still) to worry about the recovery of the Great Barrier Bleaching. Take a look here for some interesting information. YoungSilver from COMAS attempted to use a toadstool as a surrogate zooxanthallae donor.
