My female clarkii bites onto a rock underneath of her anemone and swims really hard to blow sand out away from the rock. Has anyone ever observed something like this. This is burying everything in my sand bed and covering almost all of my corals in dust. Kind of neat to watch, but also kind of annoying.
I thought she might be clearing out some space to lay eggs, but I doubt this. Reason is, she doesn't seem to tolerate the male even a little bit and, there's plenty of space under the anemone to lay her eggs so that I wouldn't think she would need to clear out space to do it.
