So I don't want Mind Set On the return pump function because I don't want it running full blast. So I was going to try the Advanced Wave Maker. This gave me the percentages that I needed but for some reason I could not get the pump to go.

My reasoning on ramp was that I could set the maximum for daytime flow and the minimum for night flow. Then use a ramp to transition between the two.

OK. I will test that. I set it up as a Ramp, 75% max, 60% min. Ramp of 30 seconds. Ramp timer at 10 am run for 12 hours off for 1 minute

If this works, I may do another timer to simulate the Tide. Have it high for an hour or so every 11 hours and a medium flow for the remainder.

Got it working! It's pretty freaking sweet! The soft start of the pump works. It works with ramp function to just hold it and also on advwavemaker function which is what I am using.

So, programming is adv wavemaker. Min and Max whatever u want. Can be same or different. Pulse time is 1 minute or greater. Master is 0.

So, mine is max of 60 min of 40. Pulse of 30:0.0 (30min). It ramps between the two so I can create a bit of flow variation. I may change it up too. See how long to maybe create a tidal flow. Would be sweeet to have it go on a high setting for hour minutes every 11 hours. Then a mid between. That may be in the ramp function with a 1 hour timer on and 11 off. Repeat

So does this mean you can run the DC pumps without using the Jebao controller? Does this work even though the newer Jebao's have the controls built into the pump?

Does anybody else think there is a need to add more standbys to the Archon? I've used all 4 and could use a couple more.

Interesting. I use them to turn on pumps to mix nee salt water, clean my skimmer, clean my circulation pumps and do manual water changes. Do you just change the outlet function for each piece of equipment you want to control?

Honestly I would usually just turn that outlet off. Or if I was doing a water change I would unplug my return pump and the skimmer because they were right there. However since I rewired and moved all of my modules into a closet I will start to use the standbys more often. If you are doing water change mixing you may want to look at doing a multi controller to where you can turn one switch on and one of the virtual modules have it on for x amount of time and have it turn on three or four different devices. You can also have a multi controller that will turn off several devices for a specified amount of time and then revert back to regular programming once it has expired.

Ok, time for another weird issue. Couple months back my Archon was hit by a power surge, sent it into DA, they fixed it and sent it back. Last night I went to program it again and start using it and ran into issues.

I believe Eric upgraded to the most recent update while he had it, the Archon shows in my network list without pressing reset. I connect to the Archon network then tried to go to 192.168.10.1 but the page wouldn't load. Tried on Firefox and Chrome. I tried doing the reset and then connecting to the Archon, no luck there either. I considered just downloading the old version on the DA website and then upgrading myself but the links to the downloads aren't good anymore so no luck there. I also plugged the flash drive into my computer and ran it to fix any potential issues, it didn't find any.

I've emailed Eric but thought I'd ask here as well. Any thoughts on the deal with this thing?

I didn't, I didn't know that was a thing to be honest. I can try that tonight when I go home. I figured it would still just be the 192.168.10.1 alone.

Thanks!

Going to the setup page just skips going to the homepage. But if it's not finding any sort of home page then it sounds to me like it did not bring in the web pages when it booted. You may want to double check that all of the HTML files are in the ww.w folder on your flash drive before you boot it next time

I would say just making sure that the index page is there setup Pages there etcetera. I will see if I can raise Eric to see if he can give you a better idea of what could be the issue.

Eric actually just emailed me back with the download files and newest instructions, so perfect timing! I'll take a look tonight and see if the index and setup pages are there, if not then download the files and start over with what Eric sent me.

I finally got to try again to start up the Archon tonight, I'm still running into issues. Eric had sent me the files he had loaded on the the flash drive, so I tried downloading them, formatting the drive and putting them back on. Archon still shows up on the network, I connect, it connects with limited connectivity, I go to http://192.168.10.1/ on Firefox and get "Unable to connect". I found some previous files, I tried downloading those and doing the reset method, however the Archon still showed up in Networks from the start, so not sure what is up with that.

Is there something I am missing or doing wrong? I'd really like to get this thing running again but it really is fighting me.
