Dear Matthias,

Can the controller work on T5 lightings fixtures which already come with dimmable ballast i.e. ATI Dimmable Powermodule T5 or Geisemann Matrix?? or do I have to purchased a separate ballast?

Planning on getting the ATI Dimmable Powermodule T5 80w x 10 or Geisemann Matrix T5 80w x 12 recto fit with dimmable ballast??

Appreciate your advise?

Eddie

Hi Eddie,

simple answer: yes - you can control any dimmable lamp with 1-10V-interface with Profilux!

There are 3 ways to connect a lamp to ProfiLux:

1. With the part "LBF-AP"

This is an interface for the 1-10V control-line, shipped with a cable to connect ProfiLux. The control lines of your lamp (1 or 2 channels) can be connected with the screw terminals.
This part does not shut off the electrical main supply at 0% dimming (dark)! You can achieve the shut-off by using a switchable outlet.

2. With the part "EVG-AP"

Similar to LBF-AP but this part includes the shut-off for the main supply. EVG-AP comes without a housing and will be built in the lamp in most cases.

3. With the part "LF-ABOX"

This part provides one 1-10V-interface with screwing terminals and a switched outlet.
It's only available with European "Schuko"-plug!

I understand the idea of the EVG-AP being built-into the fixture, but what I want to run it externally? I currently have it and it seems vulnerable with any kind of protection.

Hi

Not quite sure what you mean by vulnerable with any kind of protections?

Mount it in a PVC box, and away you go, you can even seal the box water tight.
