Just got these in the mail today, I'll do a mini review, wondering if anyone have any personal experience with it?

Will update with more pic shortly.

Bought from ledwholesalers_auctions and there also on Amazon.

So I looked these lights up on ebay. Looks identical to the one you bought. The specs say they are using 1 watt leds and they are mounted in a 30 degree optic. A 30 degree optic is going to be very spot light like.
Orphek on the other hand is using 2 watt leds and they are mounted in a 60 degree honeycomb optic. On the Orphek website it says that the PR-25 will light a 16" by 16" area at a height of 12-14".
I dont own any of either bulbs so this is just my 2 cents, but I have been looking at getting the Orphek bulbs.

Yes i got these on ebay, they cost $65, the Orphek bulb are $239 With no remote and no options to control blue/white, and from what I've heard the Orphek bulbs are not bright enough to demand such a hefty price tag, they seem virtually the same.

I'd rather spend a little extra and get a Kessil A150W than Orphek bulb.

I believe I read a thread about these on nanoreef forums. I think the conclusion was that it was a bit weak.

It looks like a decent light for an 8" cube. I bet someone with steady hands could mod this with a hot air soldering iron and some Cree chips for some remote dimming high par fun.

You mean this review: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=268550
People seems to be loving them, but i will try other brands though, like BoostLED and RapidLED Par38.

That's the thread I was thinking of... sort of. I mentally merged it with this one: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=273949 Where the par numbers are shown to drop off dramatically with offset.

I'm not dissing this light I think it's a really interesting option, but the jury is still out regarding coral growth AFAIK. I have a little 8x8x11 cube-ish this lamp would light up nicely so I'm waiting; hoping to see someone present evidence ala growth shots.
