I need help. I have meanwell driver and want to hook it up to my apex. I have a Ethernet cable and need help programming . In my apex app I don't see the option for ramping. What am I doing wrong?

Have you wired the Ethernet cable properly for your driver each network cable will control 2 drivers .....go into the variable speeds and that's where you will do the program for the dimming as a profile.....shoot Dr t a pm he's pretty good with it

Ok well kind of figured out programming but I can figure out the DYI apex cable for the dimmer. Anyone have a good article on this?

yes I have the color combinations .....they are not hard ....only 4 of the 7 wires are used I believe ...just google it...

Orange = Negative
Orange/White = Positive

Green = Negative
Blue/White = Positive

Cut the other 3 back, out of your way on the driver side.

Tried it out and no luck I'm getting 15v from brown/white and orange/white then getting green/white and green

Are you sure your testing the right cables?? I hope so.

Solid Orange = Negative Probe
Orange with a White stripe = Positive Probe

Green = Negative Probe
Blue with a White stripe = Positive Probe

If your getting 15v from any of these VS circuits, your ports are most likely no good. You should be at roughly 10v with the port commanded ON. I had this issue about 2 years after purchasing my Apex. I had never used the ports and did not know until I went to dimmable leds, and needed to use them.

After some troubleshooting, I ended up sending it in to Neptune for a $60 repair.

On another note, which Meanwell driver are you using?

Well I'm 100% sure of the wires I'm testing and the colors. No matter if port is on or off I still get the 15v. Maybe I have to send for repair. I'm using D meanwell driver. When your ports went out was it both or one?

You posted "I'm getting 15v from brown/white and orange/white then getting green/white and green"

If this is the case, then your not testing the correct wires.

If your 100% sure you've got the right colors, then the ports are no good. You will need to call Neptune, and then they will ask if your using one of their cables, and if not, they will tell you to try one of their cables first before they will confirm that it is indeed the base unit that is bad. (This is what I had to do).

Once they can confirm without a doubt that it is a port issue and not a testing issue, then they will start the process and have you send the unit in for repairs. If it's less than a year old, it's obviously under warranty, if not, then you will have to pay for the repairs.

I never saw more than 12v on my bad ports.
