Dinky smasher...what are the best things to feed him?

I think he ate some Formula 1, and nibbled on a shrimp pellet, but he wouldn't even smack a dinky nassarius I put in his tank. He's about 1.25" long, pink w/ green undertones. No idea on the species, and I don't have a digital camera either. I hope to get a pic soon.

How long have you had it? Mine lets snails live for anywhere from 3 seconds to 2 weeks. Mine seems to like ceriths over turbos due to being a seemingly easier meal. Hard shelled foods are needed to maintain dactyl (smasher) strength. I give mine maybe 1-2 a month soft foods.

My N Wenn. Eats everything. Thawed shrimp, squid, and silversides is all I have tried so far. Guess when those run out I really don't have too many more options. The only time I see my mantis strike the hermits or snails is when they get too close to his cave. Same goes for the feeding tongs but he grabs the food no problem.
