HI guys,

To prevent nudis and other things, what kind of procedure do you use when introducing a new zoo colony to your tank?

Lugol's iodine in ro water, i have used 3 drops per gal for 5 min, bottle say like 40 or something for dipping. things jumping off right when the rock or frag enter the water and i turkey blast holes and all over. Then I dip in fresh or tank water to rinse off for a min or so. Then put in tank.

I dip in Lugol's/RO/FlatWormExit.

I do about 3cups of Ro....1/4 squirt of Lugols and about 2 drops of FWE and leave it there for 5-15mins. Give the zoas a bit of a shake to shake off anything still trying to hold on.

I use ReVive Coral Cleaner from Two Little fishies.. Great product, saved a set of Zoas I posted about earlier. Nice stuff. Nudibranch my left ___...

30 seconds is not long enough. Some preds are deep in a rock and some are stubborn, I have seen worms come out up to a full 90 seconds after the rock enters the dip.

Mucho

I've just learned to do this from someone that has used it successfully for quite some time. I use Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Cure-1 squirt per 200ml of half water where they are coming from and half where they are going to. Dip for 20-40 minutes, depending if there is known creatures or not, rinse in half and half and put into qt tank.
