Direct Sunlight

Hello,

So I was off today and came down the stairs and noticed that at this time of year for about 20 minutes, direct sunlight hits the direct top corner of my tank. I moved in September and didn't really think about this when I picked the spot for the tank. But as I already said, the sunlight hits the tank for about a half an hr only. Thanks

Paul

I have it hit both ends of my 90 for acouple hours each day. I havent had any problems that I couldnt handle with a good glass cleaning. My corals love it.

Our new 160 aggressive is next to the iguana habitat which shines "sunlight" on the left side of the tank for 10 hours a day. Every once in a while I see a little brown film (algae) accumulating on that side. Quick wipe and its gone for a while. I have no form of nitrate or phosphate filter on the tank either other than LR. You should be fine.

early evening sunshine hits my 90g everyday for about an hour...and ditto on "the corals love it". so do my clownfish.

Sunlight is good for the tank in my opinion. I have a bay window and a skylight where my tanks are.
