If you are driving straight thru that morning, probably the best thing would be to come straight up I-57. There is an exit for roberts and i think it is exit 272 or 276, then about 11 miles west on state route 54 to roberts. then turn right at the gas station and right at the stop sign and you'll be on main street) mapquest or google can probably be more specific. Some have had better luck coming up I-70 (or I-55???) to bloomington, then over on state route 9.
