he peeps.. i was thinking about MP40 placement...

instead of the usual placement depicted in dia. A

i was wondering if placement shown in dia. B would be sufficient but i was wondering if it would create dead spots/etc...

please share your input..

I had 2 MP40's on the back wall of a 60x18 110. It worked fine. I had some sand disturbance in certain areas but nothing major. My sand was finer than most aragonite so for most that would not be an issue.

i have 2 of the mp40's in my 240 gallon in the fig A setup. one is master other is slave and is in anti-sync mode. Works good for me no toilet effect, but my aquarium is 6 foot long.

One thing about vortech powrheads if you the right amount of power heads for the tank size. There will be no dead spots where ever you place them. I would do figer B. So no one can see back part of the pumps. Or if someone comes over and see it. They go cool what this and they pull it off. That's my 2pennies.

I have mine on the sides but they are directly opposit in Anti Sync and they have a nice wave with some random chaotic flow from my returns adding flow to the mix.

Lolz that's funny did that ever happen?

Ok back on topic.

Option B really is for both ascetics and also for easy glass cleaning. But didn't know it it would create a whirlpool effect and/or dead spots.

Yep! 4x and all girls that did it. And i asked tim at Eco marine if he make a alarm, like the viper car alarms. When someone comes with in 5" alarm goes off. Lol
