okay so lets consider a hypothetical situation ...
my DT gets velvet, by introducing a new fish with no QT.
everything dies, 2 wrasses survive.
explanation is : the wrasses carry the disease, but its not effective enough on them to kill them ? [true or false] ?
I remove the Wrasse, and give it to LFS, they sell it to next guy ... the fish still carrying the disease.
he QTs it for 2 months, doesnt notice anything and introduce to his DT .
will that kill all his fish ?
disease with no host would die. but what in case of wrasses or some special cases ? does the disease at one point becomes inactive ? does it die off ?
thoughts ?
notes :
- I said "hypothetical" situation.
- just the best case I could think of. mostly interested in the conclusions we can draw from it.
- could be useful info for QTing fishes that show no sign of disease.
