Dispar Anthias Memory Loss??

Recently my dispar anthias climbed into one of the towers on my drilled tank. The water drains from inside these towers to my sump, but thats besides the point. Anyway, after being in the tower for less than a day, i found my anthias and put him back into the main tank. He has lived in the tank as the only anthias for close to a year now. Before he went for an exploration in the tower, he swam around everywhere and was not shy or afraid of anyone. But now, after his exploration all he does is hide in the rocks and is afraid of all his fellow tank inhabitants. He only comes out when food is in the water, but even then he is almost too frightened to eat. This has gone on now for about 4 or 5 days. And to top if off noone is harassing him in any way so he should have no reason to be frightened. Should i start planning his funeral now or is there anyway i can save my anthias? Any input is greatly appreciated!
thanks

Does your fish look injured at all?
My guess is that the stress from your fish's ordeal is keeping it in an alert mode. Hopefully it didn't suffer any physical trauma..

How often are you feeding this fish? Do you have any Cyclopeeze? or other small plankton that you can use to encourage a strong feeding response? I would try feeding a few times a day until you see your fish out in the water column more.

My lyretail (and the dispars and numerous other sp. of anthias that I have fed) will eagerly accept chopped seafood, so don't be afraid to offer some tasty meaties- fresh or frozen raw table shrimp (ideally wild) works very well for anthias in my experience.

Hopefully, with time your fish will regain it's confidence.

oh yeah, I would recommend NOT making any major changes to your tank. Keep your hands out of the water for as long as possible.
