So when would you ever disturb a mantis burrow? Never?
My mantis looks to be hoarding food
Considering cleaning up the sand under his burrow.
Have had this juvenile mantis for 11 days now, he is decently active, have fed him food on a stick 2x, first time about 3 days after I got him then 3 days later, he holds the food and watches the tank from his burrow, not sure if he eats it or buries it.
I added 4 snails, 4 hermits for cleanup 2 days after his 2nd feeding, all the hermits are MIA and 2 snails are hanging out on the glass.
Have seen him bury 2 shells in his burrow.
As this is a 12g nano tank I am concerned with water quality, have been changing 2g every week in the tank since like March.
He is actually swapping sand out of his burrow now, digs a bunch up takes it outside and tosses it, then goes to other side of tank and grabs some new sand and takes it inside
