Hey guys I just bought the 4 inch mag that was on DD this morning and I wanted to know your experience with them. I've ordered fish and corals from them in the past and never had an issue but never a nem. In the description it said it has been QT for 30 days so I'm hoping I won't have to treat but I do have Cipro on hand just in case.
 
I may treat it just in case. Just because it has been at their facility for a month doesn't mean it doesn't have anything or picked anything up from their holding tanks.
 
Well it arrived in pretty good shape and looked even better by the minute as I was dripping it. The strange thing is it attached right away when I added it to the tank but when my lights came on it slowly crawled from the top of the rock pillar to inside the rock work. I can still see it and it's fully inflated and its foot is stretching to the light but can't figure out why it went into hiding, I've seen BTAs do this but not mags. FYI my Hydra 26 is currently at 25% white and 70% blue so I can't imagine it being to much for a mag.

Mine did the exact same thing when I put it in the tank. I think it's just acclimating itself to the light. It does like a flat rock to be on. I kept moving mine to the top on a flat rock. After about the 3rd or 4th time it stayed. It would move around the rock a bit at first but settled in and hasn't moved since. That was 13 months ago. Hope yours stays put !!
 
Thank you, I actually have nice shelf rock I used to make a pedestal and it's the highest part of the tank away from the glass and back wall, hopefully it makes its way back up to it. My clowns are ****ed that it went into hiding lol
 
Well today it deflated for the first time halfway through the daylight cycle. Should I treat? I already have Cipro and a 10g HT but just wanna make sure.
 
No it was defiantly deflated, I'm familiar with the ball look and that wasn't it lol. Just added it to the HT and administered the first dose of Cipro. The strange thing is after it deflated it went back to normal within an hour but I'm not chancing it. Thanks guys
 
That's what they do, deflate, look horrible, then you come back and looks fine, back and forth.
Read the protocol thread and do not bypass anything there.

Yea I actually just posted on that thread asking if I should increase the dose from 250mg to 500mg, it looks worst now then the day I got it from UPS. I figured after the first 24hrs with treatment it would at least look a little better not a hundred times worse :(
 
Not sure what your talking about and don't remember asking you or needing your help. It died yesterday and I would think it would be a little hard to sell a nem that was dead already.You have issues man and I'm not sure what your problem is.
 
Not sure what your talking about but I live in Jersey and not Ny and like I said before kind of hard to sell a ball of mush that smells like death lol
