Thanks for sharing. You did a great jo capturing the beauty of nature. I wish the people who abuse the seas and polute could see what they are destoying. I bet they would think twice.
And I believe I'm using a Z-240 strobe from Inon, great peace of kit, I just need to learn how to use it properly. Mainly I need to get a few more strobe arms to compensate for its strength.
You have some great shots/compositions in there. I'm amazed that the 970 was able to do that well under water. We have an 870 and now I want to give it a try!
Would you mind posting a link to the housing that you used? How much do you have invested (if you don't mind me asking) in this setup, camera not included?
Well I bought almost everything in the UK which almost doubles the price but probably around around $600 USD for the Camera and Case, case being about $180 of that and another $500 in lens, grip and accessories. The majority of that went into a fish eye which was just under $400 but is a hell of a lens. And then finally the strobe which retails at just about $670. I bought the lens and strobe because I knew they are adaptable to any camera housing in case I decided to upgrade.
I originally set out to buy a underwater housing for my DSLR which is anywhere from $1,300 to $3,000 for a decent to nice case without ports and accessories. So this was actually my "cheap" test run.
The housing is a standard Canon underwater housing for this camera. Ikelite makes one as well but I'm very happy with the cheaper Canon housing. The Inon lens systems are really really nice and the strobe is top of the line.
