DIY Aqua lifter

Pretty simple question here. Can you plumb an Aqua lifter type set up by using a piece of RO line and plumbing it between the piece of PVC that you need the air out of and the intake of your return pump? I am having a really hard time getting the siphon restarted on my main line without the use of some tubing and getting saltwater on my mouth.

you have a picture? is it the PVC overflow?

Are you wanting to use the intake of the return pump with a venture effect to pull the air out of the siphon? if that's what you are asking you could, but it would be better to run it to a separate pump as to not introduce microbubbles to the display.
Like how there is an airline out of my siphon here

and it goes to the pump here

Is that roughly what you want to do? if so yes you can and yes it will work.

If I remember your tank thread right though, plumbing it to your return pump would be a VERY long line... so maybe having a small pump in your return section would be best?

yep thats what I have done and it works GREAT!!!! virtually quiet!! I have got my return line dialed in I couldnt be more pleased with this
