DIY conductivity salinity calibration fluid

Hello,
In his article (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-06/rhf/index.php), Randy refers to Morton Iodized salt. I wonder if I can use other salt, namely Kosher salt, in the same weight ratio of salt/water.
Does anyone know the answer?

I would only add that kosher salt is usually less dense than the regular table salt. Thus, volume based measurements would likely be different. Otherwise, go for it.

I agree that kosher probably should be weighed, in order to get accurate results. That's the only issue.
