diy heater guard?

how to safely attach pvc to heater? not really a diyer here

I just rubberband a piece of foam around my heater....not fancy, but keeps the seahorses safe. Some lfs even carry round tubes of foam with a hole cut through the middle (used for skimmers) and it fits great on many heaters!

really don't need the heater. unless your tank is in a unheated basement

My tank is in my living room and I need a heater for it 10 months a year to keep it above 65F.
