DIY Kalk Reactor

Man chenkinhawk I hate for you to have to do to much of the work.
I think we need to get a firm Yes or No and how many feet.

checkinhawk/24"
bruce/24"
mflamb/96"
reefartist/36"
gunter/24" - Yes or No (We need firm!)
warnberg/5'

did I miss anyone? This is final and a commit to pay checkinhawk - 8$ a foot for the acrylic! We will be waiting to hear from gunter by the end of the day.

I will purchase what is leftover - not what people have backed out of this is firm. After the pieces are cut I will purchase what is left from the 6' sections, if any.

and dont worry about the work, just give me some time to do it all.i dont want to jump the gun and waste any material so i WILL NOT MAKE ONE CUT till i measure the geo.then i will start to do the stuff that needs to be machined first.once those parts are ready and im satisfied that we can assemble them at our homes, then we will have our party :)

You mean by myself :eek1: .

We'll have to see who wants to make what. I know some are interested in the Kalk, some in the Calcium etc. Are they all going to be more or less the same dimensions?

Hey checkihawk let us know when you need us to pay up - we don't want you to get a docked paycheck - then you'll be checkinPoor :D.

ReefArtist,

I am not going to leave CheckinHawk stuck with the 2' of the acrylic. I just don't really care one way or the other if I get it or not. If you want 2 extra feet then you can have my share. If not on Saturday I am hoping to drive over to CheckinHawk's place with Dave and get the acrylic.

I will PM you with my cell phone so we can talk if you want some extra.

CheckinHawk,

I do want a base plate on the bottom like the kalk reactor. So anything you can do to help glue on the botom would be greatly appreciated. I am going to do a kalk reactor, but mine want have a pump to stir it. I will just use a pump to feed water and the water will just diffuse through the kalk. Not as strong, but it should still add some kalk to my tank.

Thanks,
Chris

what i will do is measure the geo first, then pm all who are involved and find out what you want to make and what i need for your projects.after that ill get whats needed,if you just want cut pipe and nothing else thats fine.but i will pm you each to figure out all this.i really dont want to drag a bunch of crap out of there if i dont need to.and remember ARCYLIC WILL NOT FIT STANDARD PVC FITTINGS.you have to use acrylic sheet to make all the end plates.

hello everyone! Man this is really getting started. I can't wait until we start building everything.

guntercb - I know that sounded personal but it really wasn't. Just anyone wanting to join the build, we are really going to do this and just want to make sure everyone understood that. Yes I will take your 2 feet. I need to build a few things and it will come in handy for my art - thanks.

So checkinhawk - please put me down for 3' plus 2' extra. If anyone needs any I can share the extra 2'.

I just talked to ReefArtist. I have decided to give my 2' feet to ReefArtist. Have fun building. Sorry I am missing the party. )-:

Thanks,
Chris
