DIY LED for Solana

I figured while I had my Solana broken down for my move to Rochester next week I would order the 24 LED DIY kit from Rapidled. I just finished my hanging kit home depot DIY, I will post some pictures later. Just waiting for the package to come later this week.

I have not bolted down the shepherds hooks yet so it looks a little wobbly, I think this will work nicely.

I will, I have never soldered anything before so this should be amusing.

I got it all wired up and it is awesome. Just stunning, easily the output of a 250w halide. I have no soldering background at all and I still did it in under 2 hours. Just spend $50 on a good 100w soldering gun because the heatsink sucks all the heat out of cheaper ones. If anyone wants to see it in action it will be at work with me Sunday and Tuesday. And yes it does suck commuting from Rochester to Buffalo.
