DIY Reef Controller

Sounds like a cool side project if one of my sensors go bad do we just
Solder on a new one? I would think you can then just have to re calibrate right

I don't see why your sensor would go bad but yes you could just solder in a new chip.

For anyone else who orders from Itead, when did their shipping costs double? They now charge $44 for DHL shipping and $29 for standard airmail.

That is a huge wrench. This project is taking up a ton of my time and I still don't have the 5" screen code working yet.

great build, I may have to pursue something like this down the road.

OT: are you/were you a penn state student at some point?

Right now I am taking part two of an intro to java class. It just goes into inheritance and other oop type topics.

Update for anyone who has gotten boards, Itead is acting weird lately and hasn't responded to any emails or even confirmed my order yet. Its been three days and I am planning to give them until Friday to respond in case they are just swamped from the Chinese new years.

If they don't respond by Friday I will have to cancel the order and try out fusion pcb from seeed studio. I really hope they are just catching up as I really liked their service.

Nope, all they said is that they take around 10 days to ship the boards out. Since I had to go with standard shipping I've heard it takes around two weeks to arrive.

That is a huge pile of tiny parts

Also just wanted to say thank you for all the work and time you are puting in to this
