They would work for ato but not for dosing. They are not precise enough to use for dosing.

Idk. For dosing I'd feel more comfortable with the peristolic style pumps. Think they're more accurate.

Nick , When can we expect to get the first beta boards? Around the 25th or so? Im excited to get this up and running. Would be great if I had it for spring break. Ill have the most free time them. lol

We just got back from spring break. I want to get the boards and start putting it all together also. I have a long metal plug bar that has 16 plugs and is 2 inch square I am going to see if I cant put small relays inside it and use one 16 pin molex or a couple 9 pin to hook it up to the outlet control boards. Or at least try it.

That's a cool Idea rott. I want to do something similar but since most my equipment will be in the basement I want to send the signal to individual outlets like you but not on one bar. I will run the stuff either in the walls or in conduit and make them essentially individually network addressable wall outlets. I don't plan to upgrade any further then where I am now, and im sure although the equipment will change, the basic controls should remain the same.

all most all my stuff is in the basement filters ,ro .awc and ato 150gal sump etc...here is a pic of it hope it goes up it is kinda big

for right now the only thing I have upstairs is the led lighting that I am still working on but it will be dimmable thinking just blues first then a little red and mixing in for early morning then slowly bring up the white over 1 hour duration then the blues will stay on and a few red down the length of the tank it is a 180g 6x2x2 It is a freshwater tank for now that house's my collection of discus and koi angelfish but I have a 2 of them running the other one is a saltwater reef I will be using similar lighting on that one also.

The plug bar will more than likely be my big upgrade as well this new controller will last me for a long time unless Nick comes out with some thing really cool as an add on

I'm using aqua dosser like on the picture for half a year: works great.
It needs an electronic timer with 1 minute step.
Also a pump from a coffee machine is working great, but the pump is very powerful - it needs a timer with seconds precision

I am still waiting on Iteads shipping confirmation email. Then we are looking at around two weeks of shipping since I had to get the standard shipping. Once you add on the couple days it will take me to solder and test everything and the shipping time it will take for them to arrive to your house, its looking to be around the end of the first week of April.

rmdonovan,

If you don't mind could you post the link to the peristaltic pump you sent me? This way everyone can grab a couple if their interested. I am still waiting for them but hopefully can have then integrated rather quickly.

I actually just got the confirmation email from Itead this morning that the boards have shipped! I've never ordered slow-poke mail but I am guessing it should arrive in around two weeks or so at the latest. Anyone ever use the standard shipping before?

I have not ordered from itead but i have ordered lots from china and hong Kong. I have received stuff In As little as a week and occasionally a little over 3 weeks. O think the biggest delay is how long it gets stuck in customs. On average I would say it was around 2 weeks shipping time.

I just received some paristaltic pumps in the mail today thanks to Ryan Donovan. I have been playing around with them for a few hours and they seem to work pretty well for their cost.

Here is a link to them.

They definitely aren't as high quality as a dosing pump you'd pay $60-$100 for and are a little finicky, but for $15 what do you expect? Running at 12v they seem to have a pretty consistent dosing rate of 0.625ml/second. I haven't measured the flow at lower voltages yet.

Hey everyone, I have been working pretty hard on the software end of things to get everything ready for when the boards arrive. I just checked the tracking and all it said was that they left Hong Kong on Tuesday.

Once I am finished making the few small changes in the UI I will post a video of everything.

Also, I just bought a set of meanwell LDD drivers for my leds to replace the ELN drivers. They should be here by Friday at which point i'll post a video showing how to wire them up for anyone who's interested.
